At the end of 2012, I decided I needed a new device, because both the Galaxy Tab P1010 and Galaxy Mini were getting kind of dated.
After looking around, I got myself this 7 inch phablet from Asus. Since it was a tablet and a phone rolled into one, I thought it could save me some money, as opposed to buying two separate devices.
As you can see from the picture, this phablet has a separate Bluetooth handset for making voice calls. However, this combination turned out to be quite clumsy, because for it to work, the two devices have to be in close range all the time, and Bluetooth connection could be finicky at times.
It also came with stylus but was kind of useless, because it was not sensitive enough for practical use.
One saving grace about this phablet is its micro HDMI port, which comes in handy when I need to output the display to a bigger screen. The phablet also serves well as an ebook reader and as an USB DAC music player, via the micro USB port.
